Drawing Fundamentals
with Natasha Martel
For teens (15+) and adults of all levels
This class introduces you to the basic principles of drawing. You will learn how to build a composition by using elements that make up a drawing (line, form, and texture). You will discover the language of drawing through the use of multiple drawing mediums and tools. We will focus on the most essential skill: observation and how to translate a 3D form onto a 2D surface.

Mixed Media Narratives: Telling Stories Through Art
with Angelo David Russo
For teens (15+) and adults with previous participation in Media Mix-Up or equivalent experience.
Building on foundational mixed media techniques, this 8-week course invites students to explore the power of storytelling through visual art. Participants will develop a series of works that push forward a narrative of their choosing, incorporating their preferred techniques and materials to enhance meaning and emotional depth. Emphasis will be placed on intentional decision-making—every texture, color, and composition choice should serve the story being told.
Through biweekly critiques, students will receive feedback to refine their artistic voice and strengthen their visual narratives. The session will culminate in a vernissage, where friends and family are invited to celebrate the works created throughout the course. This is an opportunity for students to share their creative journeys and engage in meaningful discussions about their work.
