Fine Arts Summer Camp

Dear Fine Arts Summer Camp families,

Thank you again for your ongoing patience as we continue to weather the COVID-19 storm. We hope that you all continue to be healthy and safe as social protocols relax and offer us a chance to reunite with loved ones again. We have been eager to share with you the camp situation as it evolves.

Talks with governmental agencies, provincial camp associations and municipal stakeholders have been on-going, and despite everyone’s avid desire to offer children and their families a return to normal this summer, health preoccupations in the metropolitan area of Montreal continue to complicate matters. To give you an example: the entire City of Toronto has cancelled ALL of its summer camps for 2020.

After much deliberation, we are writing to inform you that despite the Quebec government’s recommendations to go ahead with camps this summer, the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, after many careful considerations, like many other municipalities across the province and country, has decided to cancel all of its specialized camps for the summer of 2020. Regrettably, this includes our Fine Arts Summer Camp. (Please see the attached City announcement.)

As a result, refunds will be issued to all families that have already registered for our 2020 summer camp. This will be done as soon as possible.

We share your feelings of frustration and disappointment and we are sorry for the inconveniences this decision may entail for you and your family. Please know that the DCA is already working hard developing an exciting return this Fall and is looking forward to revealing its programming to you in August.

Until then, we wish you a wonderful summer full of family memories.

May you create, sing, laugh, play, paint, dance and love every moment.
