Huguette Bérubé

Huguette Bérubé received training in classical dance at the Académie des Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. A graduate of the teaching program, she is responsible for preparatory courses, courses for adults, and is the rehearsal assistant for The Nutcracker.

Huguette continued her training with Héléna Voronova, a former prima ballerina at the Sofia Opera. For several years, she had the privilege of performing many of the Voronova choreographies. In 2006, she resumed teaching as a class assistant and as an assistant rehearsal master for the Ballet Paula Frank. From 2011 to 2018, she taught ballet and acted as a choreographer at Côté Cour Côté Jardin, the Regina Assumpta Dance Academy.

She has taught children for several different organizations, including the Dollard Centre for the Arts since 2019. She has continued her ballet lessons and also practices yoga and pilates.

Maria Herrera

Maria Herrera has appeared in over 50 film and television projects, including Pet Sematary, Double Jeopardy, The X-Files, Within These Walls and upcoming feature film, Fatherhood, as well as dozens of theatrical productions across Canada. Maria is also an accomplished voice-over artist and has recently completed her first audiobook, entitled The Case Book of Abee Normal for Audible. A graduate of Vancouver Film School‘s acting program, and a theatre teacher for over 20 years, Maria is excited to be a part of the DCA theatre program.

Konstantin Vleitchkov

Konstantin Velitchkov has a Master’s Degree with Honours in Sculpture and Ceramics from the Fine Arts Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. Specialized in Monumental Sculpture in Berlin, Germany, Konstantin has exhibited in solo and group expositions in Europe and Canada. Konstantin has been an art instructor in Canada for over 25 years. He has been a teacher at FACE. High School in Montreal since 1997. He has taught adult classes in sculpture, drawing, painting, and ceramics at the Stewart Hall Cultural Center, the Saidye Bronfman, School of Fine Arts, and now the Dollard Centre for the Arts.

Kathryn Whitehead started at the Dollard Centre for the Arts as a camp staff member in 2015. She recently took on the role of Technical Coordinator, helping in the Galerie de la Ville and working the kilns. Outside of the office, Kathryn is an avid knitter, loves spending time in the country, drinking tea and doing puzzles with her cat. Guess how old she is?

Beverley Wight is a professional artist and instructor of paint media and art aesthetics. Bev works primarily in water-based media but stretches into additive elements from time to time. Her paintings are influenced, among others, by Turner, Kandinsky, and all Canadiana. Embracing the process and potential of each creative endeavour, Bev looks forward to filling the world with thoughtful, fun, and meaningful imagery.
